Pizza Fusion....... another step in the right direction!!!!

Last Sunday we decided to go to Kansas City in the afternoon for a change of scenery. We went to the mall, a rare occasion indeed!!! While we were there we started thinking about going to get something to eat. Of course the food court holds little promise for vegans and there is just too many people, crammed together eating unhealthy, greasy foods!!!
Nikki ate at Pizza Fusion on a trip recently and said that they were opening a store in Kansas City somewhere. We looked it up and it was only about 10 miles away so we decided to check it out.
Pizza Fusion was located in Leawood(south side of the metro area)
This is what we had:

Arugula, romaine, cucumber, red onion, tomatoes, basil, shaved carrots, and crostini.

Crimini mushrooms, roasted garlic, tomato sauce and soy cheese(Follow Your Heart). Carnivores love it, too!

Flatbread brushed with herb olive oil and served with marinara, olive tapenade and garlic olive oil. A delicious way to begin your meal! (this was for Carter, the olive tapenade has cheese so the subbed extra marinara)

A delicious homemade brownie.(which is vegan and served hot)

All in all the food was very good, it was a bit pricey, but three of us shared the pizza and salad. The pizza crust was thin and crisp, yet chewy. Their sauce is very good, bright and chunky, the Follow Your Heart mozzarella was melted perfectly and the mushrooms and garlic were fantastic. The salad was large and perfectly dressed not swimming in dressing.

Carter really liked his flat bread and marinara!!!!!

The brownie was warm, crispy on the outside chewy on the inside, very good and eaten quickly.

The dining area was nice but the greenwashing, and patting them selves on the back for being green was a bit over then top!!!! I think they could scale that back a bit. The server was well trained and understood veganism well.

I am sure that we will go back, and we encourage others to try it. By the way, they also have gluten free, vegan pizza, hey they are trying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
