Deja vu with Brussels Sprouts.... yes we are moving into the February Redundancies!!!! This is the time of the year where there is nothing fresh in the stores, the culinary inspiration of the holidays is past, and soup has become passe. This is when the record starts to stick and we start eating a lot of Mac-n-No-Cheeze and a token vegetable like Brussels Sprouts or broccoli, chili, and all manner of tacos. The only real local food this time of year is tofu, so it will be gracing our plates often in the next two months. I did sign up for the local CSA a couple of weeks ago and I am praying that we have a reasonable spring and we start getting greens in April.
